Around Kalathos

Kalathos itself is a charming Greek village with white washed houses cascading down a beautiful hillside overlooking the almost deserted 4km stretch of Kalathos beach. Seaside activities are on offer in the summer season which include glass bottom boat trips, inflatable rides and parasailing. Haraki which is a 10 minute drive to the next bay offers canoeing around the turquoise waters of Agathi beach.
For foodies, Kalathos also offers a number of local restaurants and taverna's including the popular Alli Fasi, plus local shops for those essentials. The main supermarket is only a 5 minute drive, while this sunkissed beach is just a matter of dropping the handbrake.
Turquoise waters of Agathi
Visit the lovely Haraki bay with its padaestrian sea front, wealth of tavernas and crystal clear sea. Located beneath the ruins of Feraklos castle, Haraki features one of the most stunning sandy beaches on the island, Agathi beach. For the more active, a walk up the ruins of Feraklos castle is rewarded with breathtaking views over the bay to Lindos.

Nearby Lindos
The unique and charming Kalathos is not only located near some of the most beautiful beaches and countryside Rhodes has to offer, it's proximity to the historic town of Lindos gives it the best of all worlds.
Dive into the Lindos nightlife and instantly absorb the aroma of freshly made crepes, the unique and atmospheric labrynth of winding cobbled streets, and the temptation of a rooftop bar before dinner. Wandering through the charming Lindos you'll be spoilt for choice of where to eat, go for a drink or, if allowed, go shopping for a few essential things to take home.

Things to do
If you ever tire of the views, the beach days, being by the pool or visiting Lindos, there are a number of local hikes around each with breathtaking views of the island. The trail pictured is the hike up to the local monastery which is a 7 minute drive from villa Irene. Other places to see include the castle at Monolithos, The Valley of the Butterflies and Rhodes old town.
