Lindos, it's all about the magic!

A starting point in Lindos

As you approach Lindos from Kalathos it's pretty hard to resist turning into a layby to experience and take in the stunning natural terrain with the castle and acroplis standing on a gigantic rock, the sugar cube white houses and the saphire blue waters of the Aegean sea.

Enter Lindos and enter the maze of cobbled streets with traditional flat roofed houses most with inner courtyards displaying beautiful Greek pots and planting. Five thousand years of history and life call to be explored. The most important archeological monunments are within the castle, this is where you will find the stone boat carved into the rock and the acropolis which was restored by the Italians.

For beaches, Lindos has a choice. Pallas beach and Lindos main beach are very popular with families . Another beach that is easily accessible from Lindos is St Pauls Bay with it's traditional Greek chapel. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available everywhere, along with a range of tavernas offering mezedes and fish dishes.

Lindos by night is a truly magical experience. The warm atmosphere as you approach from the main square into the maze of streets is uplifting. The smell of chocolate covered crepe's, the street lanterns, the bustle, the tempting eateries and cafes.

Rooftop dining in Lindos is not to be missed, most places have views of the castle and acropolis which once lit up, add to the enchanting nights this historic place has to offer.
