LOCATION FEATURES
The wonderful and vibrant ancient town of Lindos is only 3 miles from the villa. Its sugar cube houses are a dazzling scene against the gorgeous blue Aegean sea. Haraki village (5 minutes in the opposite direction) is a charming seaside spot. Sitting beneath the ruins of Feraklos castle, its seafront offers a wealth of bars and tavernas .

BARS & RESTAURANTS
For a fine dining experience Lindos is the place to be. The rooftop restaurants with their views of the castle and the Acropolis are a magical experience. More informal places to eat are abundant at nearby Kalathos, plus a favourite among guests is the Ostria bar and adjoining taverna.

BEACHES
The almost deserted Kalathos beach is a 4 minute drive from Villa Irene. The sea here is crystal clear and great for snorkelling. A glass bottom boat, inflatable rides and boat hire are available during peak season. Agathi beach (10 minute drive) is one of the most attractive sandy beaches on the island. Nearby Lindos also offers a choice of sandy beaches including St Pauls Bay with its quaint chapel and turquoise sea.

SECLUDED AND PEACEFUL
Villa Irene is in a beautiful and peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings including mature palms, scented oleander, olive trees and mastica shrubs. The views are breath taking. If you are up early enough, the sunrises are spectacular. Keep an eye out during the day for the family of Roe deer grazing by the nearby pine trees. At sunset the sea turns from blue to pink to white as the sun sets behind the villa. Star gazers can pick out constellations, spot a shooting star or look at the milky way in the clear night sky. If you catch the right part of the lunar cycle, you might see a beautiful moonrise glistening on the sea.

LOCAL WALKS

There are a number of local walks around each with their own stunning views. If you fancy a short walk, take the path near the villa going up to an old olive grove while looking back at the view, worth the effort! The walk from the Italian Bridge to the monastery is a beautigul walk. We provide a local walking guide for guests who are interested.
